A day out at the Singapore Zoo

School was closed for the day and we had initially planned to take the girls to the beach in the evening. However, Kieona changed her mind in the morning and insisted that we should go to the Zoo instead. Mommy messaged Daddy as he was out for his BNI breakfast meeting. Well, since he said that he will be back after breakfast, Mommy thought that the family could go to the Zoo in the late morning and return home after lunch so Mommy did not cook.

Unfortunately it poured in the late morning after Daddy came back (almost 1130). He was late again!!! Well, Mommy wasn't really angry since it started raining and we couldn't have made it out to the Zoo anyway. Daddy told Mommy that his business associates were holding a private Christmas Sale at a private apartment in the West and we thought it may be a good idea to participate in this sale to expand the cards as well as the lingerie business, so Mommy went to collect the other joint stocks from Auntie Hongxia's house after the kids' nap.

So both Kieona and Kierra went with Mommy and while we were there and the kids were playing with Enqi, Enqi pushed MeiMei and MeiMei looked at Enqi and pointed at her and mumbled some words and pointed back at herself, as if to say "why did you pushed me?". It was really amusing and had the two Mommies laughing out loud. My, is MeiMei fierce? :))

The skies cleared up around 4pm, so we decided to proceed to the Zoo as planned. It was really exciting for the two kids although this is not the first time we have been to the Zoo. Perhaps it's because it's the first time we went to the Children's World, as they could really come close with the animals like pigs, miniature horse, flying fox, goats, butterflies, mousedeers, cows, etc. It probably helped also that Kieona decided to walk all by herself most of the way. We were rather surprised as today was a really long walk since the last tram had already left without us.

Looking at how much the kids enjoyed themselves, I think spending that little time and effort bringing them there was the best reward any parent can have.

Kieona is a Star!!!!

Just two weeks ago, we had signed Kieona up for a one year modelling contract and paid a few hundred dollars for her portfolio pictures. Mommy went with her to her first portfolio shoot and my, was she the STAR of tomorrow. Well, Mommy never expected her to pose in those shots, but she did. I think she was really proud of herself and the fact that Wai Gong and Wai Po were there to lend some support. :)

We got the photos back yesterday, but pity the nicest one in daddy's eyes are still with the agency. Enjoy!

Kierra's walking :)

At 13 months, Kierra has finally started walking. Contrary to what most people believe, this new ability did not come any earlier than Jiejie's. However, what we did note is that Kierra was more stable in her steps, but she wasn't as confident to walk on her own any earlier. Or perhaps the fact that she took a few weeks later was her ability to crawl much faster.

Well now that she is walking, it seems that she is a little like Jiejie in the sense that she LOVES shoes. Daddy bought her a pair of bright green Crocs-like rubber clogs all because she kept eyeing Jiejie's bright pink clogs. With all the bad press about escalator accidents lately, I however have a little reservations and tend to be more sensitive and paranoid when our maid lets Meimei down to walk in the shopping malls.
